We made structural changes that helped remove some negatives and build on the positives.

I then lost trust in them as it seemed no one had any initiative or wanted to take responsibility. It was a self-perpetuating circle meaning I could never switch off or delegate.
Shortly after we made some changes, I was able to have a family holiday for the first time in 8 years. Two weeks away from work without a single phone call.
Creating a forum where my team could be 100% honest was powerful, humbling, and transformational. It would not have worked if we had tried to manage something like this ourselves. We would not have had the same outcomes, and ultimately we would never have grown to the point where I trust my team to run the business as if it was their own.
