In 2026, Carthy Accountants turns 25. A quarter of a century of helping business owners across Stafford and beyond get the businesses they want. We wanted to mark the occasion in a way that felt meaningful. Not with just a party, not a press release, but something that gave something back. So we set ourselves a challenge.

The Charities

A Child of Mine and the Childhood Cancer Parents Alliance are two extraordinary organisations that get alongside families at the hardest times of their lives, supporting parents and children affected by childhood illness and cancer.

Both charities do remarkable work with limited resources. Every pound raised makes a direct difference to real families in our community.

The Team Challenge

We are not doing a bake sale.

As a team, we have committed to virtually travelling the distance from our office in Stafford to Athens, Greece. Every mile is being covered through running, walking, cycling, rowing, and swimming by members of the Carthy Accountants team and their supporters.

Every mile is tracked. Every mile counts. And every donation brings us closer to our £25,000 target.

The Events

Throughout 2026 we are hosting a series of fundraising events as part of the One Big Mission campaign. From swimathons to quiz nights to golf days, each event adds miles to our pilgrimage total and pounds to our fundraising pot.

We are sharing updates throughout the year so you can follow our progress, see where we are on the journey, and cheer us on as we make our way across Europe.

Christmas Quiz Night

Thursday 19th November
The Post House Bar & Grill

After a brilliant evening in April, we're doing it all again with a festive twist on Thursday 19th November at The Post House Bar & Grill in Stafford, from 7pm until around 9:30pm. Teams are made up of four people. Entry is £56 per team plus a booking fee, which includes a burger and fries for everyone, served during the break at 8pm. You don't need to be a quiz whiz to enjoy it. Just bring your team and a sense of humour. All profits go to A Child of Mine and the Childhood Cancer Parents Alliance as part of our mission to raise £25,000 in our 25th year. Book your team's place on Eventbrite and let us know about any dietary requirements when you book.
